Disappointed?

For those of you thinking that I've been a bit lax in adding blog posts, and maybe thinking that I'd been taking it easy, well.....

Some of the merino fibre and silk that I bought back in November, at the Gathering has been spun up
Firstly 50g of Fiona's hand dyed fibre blended together with some of her complimenting silk tops
50g hand spun yarn
this is approx 200yrds long, 2 singles plied together

and 100g of Phillipa's teal and duckegg fibre, blended with more of Fiona's dyed silk tops.  This I spun very finely and have take 3 singles and plied them together and approximately 540 yards long
100g hand spun yarn
I've been progressing my appliqué challenge quilt again, so here are a few more photos.

So until next time ......

Love that yarn and I'm looking forward to seeing what you make with it!

Beautiful beautiful beautiful. I use to bred angora goats, shear, dye, and spin, knit and weave the fibres’, those were the winter days in NZ!!!!!!!!. Your spinning is a credit to you. Cheers Glenda
